1.  " He Said My PSA WAS UP," by Ira Smolin

  I was in the hospital for 4 days. I left with this rubber thing coming out of my penis, a catheter with a tube that went to a bag strapped to my leg. If you want to know more about this, call me. It’s not too uncomfortable and does have an amusing side. To pee, I place my foot on the toilet seat and opened a pinch valve to empty the bag.   full story................

2. "A Guide for Navigating the First Few Weeks After a Radical Prostatectomy," by
David Sietsema

  The days leading up to surgery were fearful for me.  I had never had surgery and did not know what to expect.  At my hospital, I arrived 2 hours before the surgery.  They took blood samples to match against the blood I had donated, ran a short EKG and did a chest x-ray.  Then I went back to surgery, where they inserted an IV.  The surgeon, anesthesiologist and O.R. nurse all stopped in to see me.  I took all my clothes off and donned a hospital gown.  After a few minutes, I was wheeled into the O.R.  I climbed up on the table myself and lay down.  full story...........
